"It’s not easy to find the place, a hidden gem it is. They offered a warm welcome at the reception, although there will be very limited waiting spaces if it is raining. The service is excellent, they care about their customers. They provide a good selection of choices, from typical brunch and special menus, they are an old fashioned kind of fusion brunch, the food and coffee is good, though I would expect they will be more innovative with their special menus. Overall, it is a decent place, worth a visit if you haven’t been, but I may not pay a revisit anytime soon."

"A nice little cafe in the middle of Redfern! Most of the restaurant is located in a well decorated courtyard area that lets in a nice amount of sun and fresh air. The staff were friendly and helpful and served us quickly. We ordered the Stairway to Chicken and the Spirited Away Stew. Both were delicious with the stairway to chicken tasting like a cross between a Caesar salad and a chicken schnitzel and the Spirited Away Stew being a very flavoursome curry-like dish! Would recommend!"

"Henry Lee’s is a beautiful place to have brunch. The staff there are friendly and quick. The food there is super delicious! I love Stairway To Chicken as it is not only beautifully presented but also very scrumptious! I like Rice Rice Baby as it is flavorful. Waffle Like Jagger is sweet and tasty. Strawberry Matcha is so refreshing as the tartness of strawberries cuts through the richness of the matcha. Iced Mocha is chilled and amazing! I will visit Henry Lee’s more often because I love their food!"

"One of the best brunch spots in Redfern! Henry Lee’s is an absolute gem — the perfect mix of great vibes, amazing food, and friendly service. Their iced drinks are so refreshing, especially the matcha and cold brew, but the real standouts are their brunch specials. The Stairway to Chicken was incredible — thick-cut toast topped with crispy fried chicken, Caesar and Parmesan for the ultimate indulgence. I also loved the green tea soba, light and refreshing for warmer weather. And of course, the Oreo pancakes with caramel drizzle were the perfect sweet finish! Beautiful presentation, generous portions and everything was full of flavour. Definitely adding this to my regular brunch list!"

The ambiance is lovely and full of charm, and the service is excellent. Recommendations: “Rice Rice Baby”—a tasty ochazuke-style rice dish with your choice of salmon or eel. “I Want It All”—featuring well-paired ingredients and rich, satisfying textures. "Henry Lee’s has been a long-time favourite and it’s easy to see why it’s remained popular over the years. The industrial-style space feels relaxed and spacious, and the outdoor patio gets beautiful natural light while still offering enough shade to sit comfortably. We ordered the Sobalicious with added miso salmon, Rice Rice Baby, Waffle Like Jagger, strawberry matcha and the sakura jelly lemonade. The soba with miso salmon was definitely the highlight for me as the noodles were light and refreshing, and the salmon was perfectly cooked, flaky and full of flavour. Rice Rice Baby was hearty and satisfying, with well-balanced savoury flavours that made it a solid brunch option. Waffle Like Jagger leaned more indulgent, with a crisp exterior and soft centre, and was beautifully presented. The strawberry matcha was smooth and not overly sweet, and the sakura jelly lemonade was light and refreshing with a subtle floral touch. "Definitely one of the best eat in Sydney! Menu is a bit on the pricier side but the quality of the food is absolutely worth it. I love the asian-inspired dishes and drinks, especially the taro latte. The vibes of the cafe are also super lively and comfy, could sit there for hours just chatting and eating. Definitely one to visit many times!"
